Employment Services

Redwood’s Employment Services program is a unique partnership between Redwood and community businesses. The goal of the program is to help adults with disabilities become more productive members of the community, while helping businesses find dependable, well-trained employees.

Redwood’s professional staff offers comprehensive training and support, at no cost to the business, to ensure employees from Redwood become a valuable member of the company’s existing team. Beyond the training and placement process, Redwood’s job coach visits the business periodically to monitor the progress of the new employee to ensure the business is getting the expected results.

Top 5 Reasons to select Redwood:

  1. Employees You Can Count On
When you hire an employee through Redwood’s Employment Services, you add a valuable member to your team. Our job seekers are taught basic business skills, values and ethics from day one. Trainers promote professional work ethics, dependability, loyalty, diligence and customer service prior to the referral process. Once a specific opportunity is identified, Redwood’s team of professionals works with you to find the best candidate for the position. Then trainers help the employee develop job-specific skills. The training process continues into the first few weeks of employment to ensure satisfaction with your new employee.
  2. Support From Start to Finish
Our job coaches go above and beyond placement responsibilities. Redwood’s job coaches offer innovative training techniques, client support, adaptive devices (if necessary), and cross training as your business needs develop. Long-term support is provided throughout the entire employment period.
  3. Benefits to Your Business
The only costs to the business are those associated with the hiring of any employee. Redwood does not charge any fees. The training, referral services, technical assistance and ongoing support are all part of the program, available to your business at no expense. You may also be entitled to take advantage of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit offered by the federal government to businesses who hire employees with disabilities. If you have questions about this program, Redwood staff can offer more information.
  4. Environmental Support
In some cases, reasonable accommodations or minor worksite modifications are needed to maximize an employee’s performance and abilities. Redwood may choose to evaluate the facility prior to placement. If changes are necessary, our program staff will assist in planning and implementing them in a manner beneficial to both the business and employee.
  5. Long-Term Support
The availability of long-term support assures employee retention. As needs of employers change, those of employees do too. Redwood is continually an active supporter of our client’s success on the job and in their lives.
