Summer Computer Camp

iCamps

Where “i” can do it independently!

 

Technology Solutions iCamps focus on what we do best - empower individuals with physical disabilities to be independent through the use of technology.

Camp iRobot

For youth, ages 8-20, with physical disabilities, who are interested in science, technology, engineering, and/or math.


Campers will work in small teams to research, design, and build model robots using materials developed by LEGO and used in the First LEGO League (FLL) international robotics program. Campers will develop a project plan including action steps, time lines, and product design. Camp will conclude with a project presentation/competition.

 

Dates/Times/Fees:

      Youth 8-20
M-F, July 28-August 1, 9am-2pm

M-F, August 4-August 8, 9am-2pm
$350 program fee ($175 a week – 2 week program)

 


Camp iSpeak

For children, ages 8-20, who communicate through the use of an augmentative communication device because of a physical disability.


Assistive technology practitioners and speech language pathologists will engage with children and their parents, to promote improved use of the child’s communication device during group and individual activities. Parents will learn to select meaningful vocabulary and create/edit communication pages to enhance the child’s communication skills.

 

Dates/Times/Fees:

Children 8-20

M-F, July 7-11, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

$125 program

*Program fees include personal care, nursing services, and assistive technology services as needed, along with materials, camp T-shirt, snacks, lunch (iRobot teen program), and field trips (if applicable).

 

*A fee of $1 per minute will be charged for campers who arrive more than 15 minutes before the program begins and/or who are picked up more than 15 minutes after the program ends.  Participants cannot be accommodated for more than 30 minutes before or after the scheduled program hours.
