Redwood's Employment Skills Training Center is a unique educational program. Students (adults or teens) participate in computer-based training to develop essential skills and work habits for entry-level employment, employment retention, or career advancement. An instructor guides individual or group instruction using networked computers, online instructional software, and assistive technology. Students learn computer basics, Microsoft Office, and, in some cases, specialized software required for employment.
The program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and offers small class sizes (8 students, maximum), formal instruction, hands-on learning, adapted curriculum, assistive technology support, and nursing, personal care, and individualized assistance.
