Learning & Growing

Children enrolled in PPEC Medical Daycare experience a stimulating day through age-appropriate play experiences, theme-based activities, exploration of learning centers, and engage in the normal activities of children. Redwood is staffed with RN’s, LPN’s, degreed early childhood staff, child life specialist, speech, occupational, and physical therapists, dietary supervisor and assistive technology professionals. Together, they help children make gains in all developmental areas and achieve learning objectives to improve the child’s quality of life. Because children learn best from other children, the program provides countless opportunities for children to observe and interact with peers, make friends, and have fun.

Medicaid Funded Care

We recognize that parenting a child with medical needs is very challenging, and finding quality childcare services can be even more challenging. Due to unseen financial strain, leaving the workforce is not an option. You may be eligible to have program costs funded through KY Medicaid, including some MCO’s. Redwood staff are committed to assist you through the Medicaid and PPEC Medical Daycare process. Once enrolled, parents and families will have peace of mind knowing their loved one is receiving healthcare at a non-residential facility instead of the alternative of hospitalization, institution, or in-home care.
